- You will find that most BBS systems' file directories are comprised almost
- entirely of files that have passed through the arc utility and therefore
- have the ".ARC" extension. This allows the sysop to get as many files as
- possible on the system at one time. In order to help the sysop with this
- task, it is recommended that you arc any and all files prior to uploading
- them to a BBS. (In some instances the sysop has configured his/her system
- to allow only files with the .arc extension to be received.
